This is a superb, perfectly balanced blend of spices and herbs similar to commercial Seasoning Salt, only with far less salt, and no MSG. The main flavors are salt and pepper, of course, and wonderful pronounced toasted garlic and onion top-notes. As the flavor persists, bottom notes of tumeric and smoked Hungarian paprika begin to assert themselves. The finish is smooth, slightly spicy without being over-done. Chub Rub Original goes well with anything you would use Seasoning Salt on, such as French Fries, smothered potatoes, eggs, in sauces, and as a dry rub all on it's own. The mix does especially well on pork, such as pork loin, pork chops, and ribs. On fish and poultry, it brings out the natural taste of the meat, and adds a subtle nuance of exotic smoke-woods. It enhances the flavor of even the most bland steaks. For a special treat, next time you make Deviled Eggs, sprinkle a little Chub Rub Original on them, instead of paprika, and watch your guests amazed expressions as their taste-buds go into overdrive.
